eBooks

First-time setup

  1. Install the cloudLibrary desktop app

    Download the app for Windows or Mac from yourcloudlibrary.com and install.
  2. Connect to your library

    In the cloudLibrary desktop app, select your country, state, and library. Enter your library card number and PIN. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your library card number.
  3. Turn on holds notifications

    To be notified of arrived holds, click on *Settings > Yes, notify me and provide your email address. cloudLibrary will send a verification email.

Borrowing eBooks

  1. Find a book

    In the cloudLibrary desktop app click Browse for genres and subjects or click Featured for new books and curated lists. To hide checked out books click Filters > Available Now.
  2. Borrow the book

    Tap the book cover and tap Borrow.
    Books will self-return at the end of the loan period. They cannot be renewed, but a book can be borrowed again if there are no holds on it. There is a limit of 6 items borrowed and 6 items on hold.
  3. Read the book

    Click My Books to see your checked-out books, and click the book cover.
  4. Return the book early (optional)

    Click My Books > List View > Return.

Transferring eBooks to a non-Kindle Eink eBook reader

  1. Connect your eReader

    Connect your eBook reader to your computer with a USB cable.
  2. Transfer a book

    In the cloudLibrary app, click My Books to locate the book and click Transfer to Device on the book cover.

eAudiobooks

  1. Find an Audiobook

    In a browser, go to ebook.yourcloudlibrary.com/library/cbcpl > Login. Enter your library card number and PIN. Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your library card number. Click Browse for genres and subjects or click Featured for new books and curated lists. To hide checked out books click Filters > Available Now.
  2. Borrow an eAudiobook

    Click the book cover and click Borrow.
    • Audiobooks will self-return at the end of the loan period. They cannot be renewed, but a book can be borrowed again if there are no holds on it. There is a limit of 6 items borrowed and 6 items on hold.
    • Audiobooks cannot be transfered to a music player.
  3. Listen to the eAudiobook

    Click My Books to see your checked-out books, and click the book cover.
  4. Return the book early (optional)

    Click My Books > List View > Return.
