The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library has launched the fourth and final episode of season one in a fun, educational video series called LIB LAB, encouraging kids to explore S.T.E.A.M. concepts and activities: www.cbcpl.net/liblab. Episode 4 explores vortex rings.
Accompanying each video are instructions for activities that young viewers can conduct at home. Stop by the Corvallis branch Youth Reference desk to pick up activity materials, while supplies last.
LIB LAB is short for Library Laboratory. Each episode explores a variety of scientific fundamentals with playful experiments and demonstrations, and the video format enables audiences in Corvallis and around the world to participate in the experiments.
The series stars A.J. Fillo, an Oregon State University Ph.D. candidate in mechanical engineering. LIB LAB is produced by Video Dads, a team of Emmy award-winning filmmakers, and Yancy Simon, LLC, who have a combined 30 years experience in video production. Their work has been seen by millions of people around the world, but they are proud to call Corvallis home.
LIB LAB is made possible thanks to seed funding from Friends of the Library.
