Art Tours

By Request Only. Join Library Board member, Freda Vars, as she leads you through an exploration of the art that can be found at the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. Email askalibrarian@corvallisoregon.gov to schedule.

Computer Workshops-Digital Life

Workshops that focus on different aspects of our digital lives such as privacy online and basic photo management. Click the link above for the most current class information and a list of upcoming topics.

Corvallis Book Club

The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library Book Club is open to everyone! We meet to discuss various books each third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. in the Library Board Room. Books are provided by the library and will be available for pick up four weeks preceding the monthly meeting at the 2nd floor reference desk

Craft Night

Ages 16 and up are welcome to join us for a night of art, music, and conversation every third Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Use our supplies to try a new art project or bring your own. Show off projects you’ve been working on!

Games Day

All ages are invited to play board games, card games, and video games one Saturday a month from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. beginning in November and ending in April.

Graphic Novel Club

The Graphic Novel Book Club meets the first Tuesday of the month from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. in the Library Board Room. Anyone 18 & up is welcome! Read more at the graphic novel page. Books are provided by the library and will be available for pick up four weeks preceding the monthly meeting at the 2nd floor reference desk.

Library Takeover (for Adults)

Adults ages 18 and older are invited to play Nerf games, video games, or try a new craft after hours on Friday nights approximately once every two months. Nerf equipment and light refreshments will be provided. Free! No registration required.

Misinformation & Fake News

Learn strategies for identifying misinformation in online news in this librarian-led workshop typically held once a month. You will learn how and why misinformation proliferates online, how to identify and find authoritative online information, how search engines work, how to search Google and other websites more effectively, how to find the source of viral content, and more.

Random Review

Random Review is sponsored by The Friends of the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library. Reviews are held on the second Wednesday of the month from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and are open to the public and free of charge

Sip & Spell: A Spelling Bee for Adults

A spelling bee for adults ages 18 and older (all ages are welcome to watch) that is typically held yearly on the first or second Saturday of February.

Summer at Your Library

(June-August Only) Read and complete other activities to be eligible to win fabulous prizes every summer. Challenge yourself to try something new or just read as much as you can – the choice is yours!

Take Apart Workshop

Ages 10 and up are invited to take apart old appliances and electronics and find out what is inside. Take Apart is typically held twice a year in September and March from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.
