Summer Reading: June 1 – August 31, 2022
All kids from birth – 5th grade are invited to participate in the 2022 Kids Summer Reading Program from June 1 – August 31, 2022. Keep track of the days that you read or listen to books this summer and take part in some fun activities.
Here’s how to participate:
1. Get a free book and bag!
Participants receive one free book and bag, via pick-up at your local CBCPL branch or delivery to your home, while supplies last.
2. Track your reading and activities online through Beanstack or with a paper log.
Paper log instructions:
Fill in one square on your paper reading log for each day that you read. We recommend reading for at least 20 minutes a day.
Read for 35 days total between June 1st and August 31st, 2022.
Prefer to participate online?
You can set up a free online account through the Beanstack app to track your progress. Participation through Beanstack is not required.
3. Turn in your paper log or use Beanstack to complete the Summer Reading Challenge and earn another free book!

4. The whole family can participate!
There is a Teen Summer Reading Challenge for 6th-12th graders and an Adult Summer Reading Challenge for ages 18+, too! Visit Summer at Your Library for more information. Check back for more details regarding the 2022 Summer Reading Challenge.

Tweens & Teens: Library Post! (Opens August 1st.)
Looking for your next great read? Try Library Post, a free service for tweens in grades 4-6 and teens in grades 6-12. When you sign up, you’ll share your reading preferences with our youth services staff, who will then hand pick 2 books for you. The books will be packed with snacks and other goodies before being delivered or ready for pick up at your library branch. Space is limited; sign up early for best chance to participate.
