Tax Assistance

Tax Aides will begin taking appointments January 20, 2025.

Starting January 20, call the AARP Tax Assistance info line at 541-250-0268.

Appointments at these locations:

  • Corvallis Public Library – Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays
  • Corvallis Community Center – Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays (closed Feb 17, March 24-28)
  • Hill Street Church of Christ in Albany – Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

We have a limited number federal forms at the library, and no state forms.

The IRS will not be mailing out forms to individuals who filed via paper last year. You can order paper forms sent to you in the mail. See the box below for information.

Oregon State University College of Business participates the in the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program which offers free tax preparation services for low-income individuals and families.

The State of Oregon offers free tax preparation software.

OSU’s Valley Library will have some of the more popular tax forms and publications available to the public in their main lobby.

The Corvallis Post Office will not have any tax forms or publications.

Beginning in tax year 2011, all full-year Oregon residents will use Oregon Form 40. There is no longer an Oregon Form 40S. This means that all Oregon filers will need to include a federal form when they file.
