Friends & Foundation of the Library
In January 2025, the Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation merged to form a single organization. The newly formed Friends & Foundation of the Library combined resources and efforts to increase the impact of their support for library programs and services. Their mission: To enrich the lives of people in Benton County by fostering a vibrant, accessible, and inclusive Corvallis-Benton County Public Library system through advocacy, volunteerism, and philanthropic support. The organization supports library services, facilities, and equipment that reach beyond the library’s regular budget, including events such as annual book sales, Random Review book talks, numerous children’s and young adult programs, and donor thank-you luncheons.
Donate to the Library
The Corvallis-Benton County Public Library acknowledges the great importance of private gifts and donations to the Library’s future development and growth, and to assure the continued excellence of our Library System. Gifts to the Library can be made in many ways: in memory of friends and relatives, in honor of the living, in wills or bequests, to commemorate special occasions or anniversaries, and by individuals or groups. Gift plates identifying the person being honored and/or the donor may also be placed in books. Donations can be made to the Corvallis-Benton County Public Library and/or the Friends & Foundation of the Library. All gifts and donations to both the Library and the Foundation are tax deductible, and donors may specify how their gifts are to be used, within the guidelines of the Library’s donation policy. The Friends & Foundation of the Library also accept donated books for their book sales throughout the year. Donations may be dropped off in the basement lobby directly off the parking garage entrance of the Corvallis Public Library.
