Cloud Library Ends March 18, and other news

Dear Library Patron, Changes are coming to our digital library of ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines. As of March 18, we will end access to CloudLibrary while investing in an improved experience with Libby. In fact, you may have already noticed a wider variety of titles and shorter wait times for popular titles through Libby! This was not an easy decision, but we believe it will result in a better digital collection, using a more popular and functional platform. You can read more about our reasoning and view the timeline for upcoming changes here. Starting today, you are no longer able to place new holds or submit purchase requests through CloudLibrary. Existing holds will stay on your account until March 18, 2026, when all access to CloudLibrary will end. If you are not yet using eBooks or audiobooks on Libby, we encourage you to check it out via the Libby app or website. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. Improvements to Library Mobile App If you access the catalog or your account via our Library mobile app, please note that we are also changing mobile app providers on February 22, 2026. You can download the Aspen LiDA app now to get started. We think you’ll find the app easier to navigate, and that tech support is more responsive. Learn more about accessing the catalog from a mobile device here. Thank you for your patience with these changes, and please let us know if there is anything we can do to help with the transitions. • For questions about your card or account: 541-766-6448 • For help finding materials or research assistance: 541-766-6793 • Email: askalibrarian@corvallisoregon.gov Return [Read more]

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Corvallis families with children under the age of 5 are now eligible to register for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library! The Imagination Library mails free, high-quality books to children from birth up until their fifth birthday. Books are available in English and Spanish, as well as braille/audiobook options. Enroll your child online, or call the Library at 541-766-6793 to have a staff member assist you with registration over the phone. Once the registration is processed, books will be mailed monthly to the child's home until their fifth birthday. Thanks to a $55,000 grant from the Early Learning Hub of Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties to support the region, Corvallis is now officially added and completes the three-county service area. Other funders that made the Corvallis launch possible include the Corvallis School District, Kiwanis Sunrisers Club of Corvallis, Corvallis Morning Rotary Club, and numerous donations from members of the community through the annual United Way campaign. Additional support for the multi-year collaborative effort comes from Samaritan Health Services, who help parents sign up through new baby care packages and select pediatric offices. The Corvallis School District and Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will encourage families to participate as well.

Renew your library card online!

You asked and we listened! Patrons may now opt to renew their library cards without visiting a branch by sending a picture or scan of a current utility bill which clearly shows your name, street address, and the date to cardrenewal@corvallisoregon.gov. Unfortunately, we are unable to renew an account when only a PO Box is shown. You may block out the account number on the bill if you prefer. Staff will confirm contact information and renew the account. The image of the bill will then be deleted. You are eligible for a card renewal if you still live, work, go to school or own property in the library district.
